NJ: Enjoy the Wild West at the Cowtown Rodeo

NJ Exit (Penns Grove, Rte 40) : Woodstown is home to New Jersey’s Cowtown Rodeo, the longest running rodeo in the country and is acclaimed for being a highlight in the professional rodeo circuit. It features all seven rodeo events sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

cowtownrodeoCelebrating their 60th season (only opened on Saturdays), you can enjoy this fun filled night out in the open air with your whole family. Watch the competition in the traditional sport of the Old West; bull riding, bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, girls barrel racing, team roping, and tie down roping.

Cowtown also books special acts throughout the summer; including a miniature pony show, monkey & dog show, and rodeo clowns. The rodeo operates rain or shine, and is handicapped accessible. You can bring your own small cooler with food and beverages and alcoholic beverages are permitted.
