CT: Old Lyme Showcases its Artistic Heritage with a Midsummer Festival

Old Lyme, CT Exit 70: Celebrate Old Lyme’s artistic heritage at the 30th annual Old Lyme Midsummer Festival. This two-day event, a quintessential New England bash for all ages, takes place in the heart of Old Lyme’s historic district.

Browse activities taking place at nine locations all along Lyme Street: the Florence Griswold Museum, the Lyme Art Association, the Old Lyme Inn, the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts, Studio 80 + Sculpture Grounds, the Old Lyme Historical Society, the Center School lawn, the Old Lyme – PGN Library, and the Shops of Lyme Street.

The festivities start on Friday night with art open houses and live music and dancing.  Saturday’s activities include: art exhibitions & sales, fresh farmers market, musical performances, artisan fairs, book discussions & signings, domestic farm animals, Parading Paws dog show, exotic animals with Nature Nick and loads of amazing Hands-On Kids’ Activities and crafts.
