CT: Hop, Jump, and Crawl in the new Frogs! Exhibit at Mystic Aquarium

Mystic, CT Exit 90: Discover the world of frogs at Mystic Aquarium’s brand new 1,000 square foot exhibit featuring an aquatic habitat with more than 30 different species of frogs and other amphibians from around the world. Unique exhibits allow visitors to look through, crawl under and even pop into some of the environments.

Witness the beginning stages of a frog’s life cycle and learn how you can protect them. Discover predator and aquatic exhibits from the inside through an enclosed opening in the center.

Exhibits highlight the ‘funky features of frogs’ including nocturnal, predator, camouflage, locals, aquatic, tadpoles, dart frogs and even species of concern.  Fun, interactive displays and vibrant wall graphics will teach you more than you’ve ever known about frog’s adaptations, features, environments and conservation stories.

Children of all ages will enjoy an interactive, 3-D frog that shows how a frogs’ various systems work, including a demonstration of their digestive system from the moment it eats a fly to the butt end.

Some featured species include: Red-eye tree frog, Mossy frog,  Whites tree frog, African bullfrog, Ornate horned frog, Tomato frog, Axolotl (aquatic salamander), Bullfrog tadpoles, African clawed frog, various dart frogs including blue, bumblebee, dyeing, Panamanian golden frog and Lemur leaf frog.
