MA: Family Whale Watching Adventure

Newburyport, MA Exit 57, Route 113 east:  Climb aboard the spacious, 106′ Captains Lady III at Newburyport Whale Watch and begin your whale watching voyage. The vessel can comfortably carry up to 149 passengers to the whale feeding grounds.

You leave from downtown Newburyport, where the ship will head out the Merrimack River into the Gulf of Maine. Each trip runs between 4 and 4 1/2 hours allowing time to find and observe whales and other marine life in their natural habitat.

The marine life most commonly sighted in these waters are: humpback, finback, and minke whales as well as porpoise, seals, sharks and a variety of sea birds. Throughout the adventure, there are expert naturalists on board sharing their knowledge of the marine environment and explaining about the whales as you see them.

The open ocean holds many species of diverse wildlife, making every trip a unique and exciting experience. Reservations are highly recommended.
