US: Seattle, WA – City Fish at Seattle’s Pike Place Market

City Fish’s fish throwing fish mongers are one of the reason that the Pike’s Place Market is on the map. We’ve visited many food markets around the world but these guys are the only ones flinging fish across the fish stand and putting on a fun fishy show.

Canada: Toronto, Ontario: Hockey Hall of Fame

The Hockey Hall of Fame is dedicated to all things hockey including the history of ice hockey, and exhibits about players, teams, National Hockey League records, memorabilia and NHL trophies, including, of course the Stanley Cup.

Happy Birthday Interstate

President Eisenhower signed the law establishing the Interstate Highway System on June 29, 1956. It spurred a gigantic building boom and connected cities like never before, shortening cargo transits and expanding family road trips. It caused a major overhaul of the trucking industry, put new pressure on rail and air service, but was a huge boon to commerce in general. It stands as one of the greatest public works projects in history, anywhere.
