FL: “Coded Couture” Exhibit Combines Fashion and Technology

Melbourne, FL  I-95 S Exit 180: Fashionistas, who wouldn’t want a garment constructed to fit you body exclusively while incorporating in the design all your likes and dislikes?

Named one of last year’s “best fashion exhibits”, Coded Couture is an innovative traveling exhibition presenting garments, video projections, objects, drawings, photographs, and interactive elements by 10 national and international designers. The featured designers who each use coding to convert a consumer’s personal information into a custom garment.1-Amy Congdon Backpiece REDUCED

The idea of customization has always been at the heart of couture. The gown made to fit you, perfectly; the hand-beading, hand-stitching and other time-consuming processes involved in the creation of couture garments that reinforce the notion of the piece as a work of art with a specific affinity to the wearer.
