CT Exit 47: If you are driving along I-95 on April 24th and wondering how you can be seeing a rainbow at night,you would actually be enjoying a laser light sculpture by American artist Yvette Mattern, presented to kick-off citywide celebrations of the 375th Anniversary of New Haven.
The artwork utilizes specially designed lasers to project a large scale abstraction of the natural rainbow and will shine the light of local celebration beyond city limits, inviting people from near and far to a birthday celebration for one of the oldest cities in Connecticut. The exhibition will run for four nights, beginning April 24th.
As an added bonus, New Haven Restaurant Week runs Sunday, April 21 through Friday, April 26.
