FL: Daytona Blues Festival Raises Money for Women and Children

Daytona Beach, FL Exit 265: The Daytona Blues Festival, is a three day celebration in downtown Daytona Beach, where the Jackie Robinson ballpark is transformed into a world-class music festival with covered seating, eclectic food vendors, craft beer selections and other reasonably priced offerings.

The annual event has rapidly grown into a family-friendly musical tradition,  featuring nationally known artists and  dozens of up-and-coming blues artists, drawing blues lovers from all over the US, Canada, and Europe.

Aside from three full days of music at the ballpark, a welcome party is hosted Thursday evening as well as Friday, Saturday and Sunday night after-parties at local bars and restaurants. The festival is aligned with the Halifax Health Foundation, to raise funds for women and children’s healthcare.

One child under age 14 admitted FREE with a paid adult admission.

MD: Fresh Air and Family Festival Weekends at Milburn Orchards

Elkton, MD Exit 109B: Why not indulge in some farm fresh air while joining the party at Milburn Orchards Fall Festival Weekends. In celebration of the fall harvest, the BarnYard has a special theme for each weekend, offering families lots of assortment and fun activities.

MD: Farm Heritage Days and Rodeo with Bull Riders

Howard County, MD Exit  38, route 32: Farm Heritage Days is a weekend festival of fun and excitement at the Howard County Living Farm Heritage Museum in West Friendship.

Farm equipment demonstrations, old time blacksmith demonstrations, tractor pull, lawn mower races, an auction and flea market, pony rides, food, crafts, hiking on the nature trails and entertainment. Live Country Bluegrass Music will be performed on both days.

And don’t forget the rodeo from the Maryland High School Rodeo Association cheer on  bull riders competing for top honors.
