The Four Footed & Fanciful Art Exhibit showcases the work of three artists who create whimsical animal creatures.Take a walk though the imagination of artists Adonna Khare, Cindy Burkett and Don Nedobeck and enjoy the fanciful creatures they capture.
The exhibit features the artistic talents of California artist Adonna Khare, who creates large scale pieces using a carbon pencil. She was the winner of a $200,000 People’s Choice prize at Art Prize. Cindy Burkett, from New Smyrna Beach, creates intricate collages from recycled magazines and other materials for her collages that draw viewers in to find their surprising secrets and Don Nedobeck, a DeLand artist who creates fun animals, especially big fluffy cats, that he calls “caricatures in watercolor” and he has produced three children’s books. “Cats Eyes” collage by Cindy Burkett
Hurry in because the exhibit only runs through Sept. 9. Admission is free with a $2 per person suggested donation.

Yeah Mon’- Don’t worry ’bout a thing, cause every little thing’s, gonna be alright at the annual New Smyrna Beach Reggae Festival, celebrating everything Reggae and Island on June 16 – 18, 2017.
Over a dozen acts are set citywide for the musical weekend commemorating one of America’s most popular music genres, everything from classic reggae to new Island rhythms. The weekend includes multiple band meet and greets and plenty of free giveaways. And best yet – every performance is free – no cover charge, though some locations do have a minimum age admission of 21 years.
No need to set sail for the Caribbean, plan to attend this festival and Jamaica will be brought right to you. Sit back, relax and enjoy the variety of performances at numerous locations throughout New Smyrna Beach.

Harmonica players from throughout the state will battle at the 11th Annual Florida Harmonica Championships. Every October the Florida Harmonica Championships combines performances from more than 20 great harp players with internationally known guest stars. Each year, music lovers from all over the country travel to beautiful New Smyrna Beach to witness what has become a signature Florida music happening.
This combination of raw new talent, a show oriented format, great backing band and internationally renowned guest stars has made the Florida Harmonica Championships and New Smyrna a music destination for fans from Florida, the US and the world. Anyone can compete.
Other activities include a master class, a harmonica repair clinic and a “harmonica orchestra” performance open to all spectators with a harmonica.
