Railroad Festival in VA June 4

The Manassas Heritage Railway Festival is a family celebration of the rich railway history that Manassas has to offer.

Manassas Junction was the site of both the 1st and 2nd Battles of Manassas during the Civil War and of the nation’s first military railroad.

There are model railroad displays at the Harris Pavilion along with lots of fun rides for kids of all ages.

Living historians, authors, and both Union and Confederate re-enactors will be present in camps for public inspection.

Infantry, Artillery and Cavalry drill demonstrations are being planned throughout the day.

Period sutlers vending Civil War memorabilia and provisions will be on site, as well as period music.
