Harrows in MA

If you have Harrows on your route, there’s no sense in cooking dinner yourself. They’ve been around since 1938, and though the restaurant may have closed, the famous chicken pies live on.

They are made fresh daily from fresh chickens which cook slowly overnight and are then smothered in flavorful scratch gravy, firm carrots and potatoes, and are poured into lovely pastry. They come cold or frozen in 4 sizes.

If you want to gobble them up in the car, call 1 1/2 hours ahead and they will heat them up for you. Also on the take-out menu are mashed potatoes, squash, cranberry sauce, chicken gravy, chicken salad, chicken soup and apple or blueberry pie.
