VA: Acres of Gardens Festooned with Lights (Doggie Nights too)

Richmond, Va Exit 83: A holiday tradition at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, the Dominion Gardenfest of Lights, features more than half-a-million twinkling lights arranged throughout the 40-acre garden. Hundreds of trees are wrapped in lights and winding pathways are full of surprises.IMG_0447

Hand-crafted botanical decorations, model trains, holiday dinners available with reservations , firepit with s’mores and hot chocolate (for purchase).

Nightly family activities such as: Merry Mondays; storytime fireside with garden keeper & visits from butterfly fairy, caroling Tuesdays, crafty Wednesdays; Families can join garden staff and make crafts, musical Thursdays; acoustic musicians perform festive entertainment.

Gardenfest for Fidos: Thursday, Dec. 4 & Thursday, January 8. Leashed pets allowed on these night ONLY.
