VA: Six Blocks of Art and 200 Artists in Old Town Alexandria

Alexandria, VA Exit 177B: Acclaimed for it’s arts and culture ambience, Alexandria celebrates its 13th Annual King Street Art Festival, transforming the city’s historic main street into a world-class outdoor art gallery. At this community event festival booths line King Street between Washington and Union streets, featuring over six blocks of artwork by more than 200 artists from the US and abroad.

With more than $15 million in art on display, art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind pieces, and meet the artist behind the work, discovering extraordinary paintings, life-size sculptures, jewelry, photography, ceramics, offering exceptional art for every palate.

On Saturday of the creativity-filled weekend, the Torpedo Factory Art Center is featuring some special activities.

Visitors will be entertained by a variety of local activities and performances throughout the weekend, including live music, interactive art activities and art happenings. The Art League’s popular Ice Cream Bowl Fundraiser returns, featuring 1,000 hand-made ceramic bowls and local artisan ice cream.  Free Admission.
