New London, Ct Exit : Connecticut Lyric Opera presents Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto, a spectacular fast-paced story of seduction, love, ridicule and tragic death, with powerful music, that has often been cited as Verdi’s best.
The fully staged production, with full orchestra, is sung in Italian with projected English subtitles, and features the acclaimed CT Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra conducted by maestro Adrian Sylveen. Based on a play by Victor Hugo, the opera is a brilliant example of music’s Romantic Period.
