The Montreal International Tango Festival is offering up its 7th edition which includes nine unforgettable tango evenings of Argentine Tango. Montreal is the North American capital of Argentine Tango. Besides the classes offered, on Wednesday evenings there are FREE outdoor dances by the river. More than just a tango destination, don’t miss a chance to discover Montreal, a city on the St. Lawrence River with its Latin charm, French culture and fine cuisine.
Different kinds of tango will be highlighted – Classic Tango from the 40’s-60’s will be presented by Roxana and Fabian Belmonte from Toronto while Nuevo Tango with its balancing, spins and wild arm and leg movements will be shown off by Nancy Louzan and Damian Essel, and Marisol Morales and Alejandro Larenas from Buenos Aires (as well as many others). Buenos Aires is also sending some orchestras: Ojos de Tango, Elecric Ardor and Tangwork whilst the local Ensemble Montreal Tango will shine as well.
